Corporate Strategy Senior Manager
Barilla International B.V. wants to recruit the next Corporate Strategy Senior Manager, within the Corporate Strategy & Corporate Venturing unit, based in Amsterdam. The individual will report to the Corporate Strategy Director.
Job Purpose
Within the Corporate Strategy & Corporate Venturing Unit, under the supervision of the Corporate Strategy Director, the person will contribute driving the company’s medium and long-term vision, Strategic direction, organic and inorganic growth.
Key Accountabilities

Contribute to shape and guide the Company’s medium and long-term vision and strategic direction, while enhancing its market position through strategic initiatives and identifying organic and inorganic growth opportunities.

Strategy Definition: Actively contribute to the elaboration and updating of the Company’s overall strategy, including setting of long-term goals and identification of key areas for growth and development.

Strategy Planning: Manage the Company’s strategic planning process, ensuring all units are aligned with the Company’s vision and objectives. Guide planning activities performed by the businesses. Establish and review key strategic priorities and translate them into actionable and comprehensive plans.

Strategy Implementation: Advise the Corporate Strategy Director in:

Strategic Alignment: ensuring all projects and initiatives are in line with the Company’s strategy.

Performance Management: monitoring progresses and evaluating outcomes to ensure organizational goals are met. It includes regular reviews and adjustments to strategies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Business Portfolio Optimization: ensuring alignment against strategic objectives and their adoption by the businesses; monitoring strategic initiatives against principles of strategic fit, balance, maximization, and feasibility.

Strategic Decisions: Scope, manage, and deliver specific strategic projects and Competitive intelligence, to enable strategic decisions for the CEO, Board, Exco that will keep the company ahead of industry changes

Strategic initiatives and long-term growth opportunities (inorganic growth): Assist the Corporate Strategy Director in identifying and assessing M&A opportunities, Geographic expansions possibilities and potential assets disposals.

Contribute to drafting of M&A strategies and scoping of alternative deal structures

Support end-to-end the M&A Process/deal execution (target identification, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, integration).
Requirements
• 7 to 10 years working experience, preferably in Consulting, Investment Banking/Private Equity or Consumer Packaged Goods companies; Experience in the US Market will be considered a plus.
• Relevant M&A experience, with exposure to international transactions and involvement in post-merger integration
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to distill complex data and analysis into clear actionable insights.
• Strong team player, with very good relational skills and emotional intelligence.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Autonomy and comfort with new, blank-piece-of-paper assignment.
• Intellectual curiosity, “can do” attitude and results orientation.
• International mindset, ability to work in a global environment and with virtual teams.
