Job Description

 

Barilla is looking for a Global Design & Visual Identity Manager to join our Categories & Marketing team. The role will report to the Global Design & Visual Identity Senior Manager and will be based in Amsterdam, in our recently opened office in Gustav Mahlerplein!

The individual will support the development and implementation of our Brands (Barilla, Wasa, Harrys, Mulino Bianco, Back to Nature…) visual identity/pack design at a global level, helping shape the brands’ positionings in terms of Equity, Tone of Voice, Personality. S/he will support the Unit's head in acting as a point of reference also for the local brand in developing a Marketing plan based on Brand Vision, in line with brand equity strategy defined.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the definition and the implementation of the global brands identity and packaging design with the support of external partners, such as design agencies & artists
  • Gurantee the consistency of all the local graphical packaging execution to global Brand guidelines
  • Support the global coordination of tthe visual identity for our global brands, defining master and guidelines on topics regarding Countries identity in order to provide the way to manage exceptions and to manage back of pack massages for multi-countries products
  • Contribute to the definition of the brands positioning with reference to packaging, communication and 360° marketing plan, also recruiting and managing external suppliers
  • Acting with the Unit's head as the center of excellence, contribute to the development of best practices and strategic plan for artists and agencies activation, scouting agencies, building and maintaining relationship with artists, in line with received guidelines
  • Contribute to the definition and selection of the most appropriate network of suppliers for branding and communication (e.g. brand identity agency and creative agency), building up long lasting relationships
  • Support project’s owner in the definition of the existing offering and customers in the various Countries, managing visual identity market tests, performing shelf’s simulations and supporting Countries in marketing researches
  • Contribute to the definition of the brand architecture of our Global brands and set the strategic role of all the products/line extensions/sub segments/categories  that belong to the same Global brand

 

 

Requirements 

  • 4/5 years in equivalent roles in FMCG companies. Ideally with previous experience in a design agency.
  • Degree in Social Sciences, with a specialization in Design or Arts & Communication
  • Good communication, network and interpersonal skills, planning and organization skills, problem solver, fast learner
  • Proven experience in the management of internal and/or external providers/agencies/clients 
  • Start-up/entrepreneurial mindset
  • English fluency
