Job description
Barilla G. & R. Fratelli wants to recruit a Quality and Technology Manager for Foggia Plant.
The individual will report to the Plant Director and functionally to the Quality and Technology central units.
Job Purpose
To guarantee that the goals and quality standards of products are achieved by monitoring that the Quality Management and Food Safety System corporate policies and operative mechanisms are constantly and efficiently implemented and the applicable regulations in force are observed. To guarantee the realisation and constant application of process standards, the assessment of production line capabilities and the correction of any diversion. To support Development and Industrialization in introducing new products or in improving existing ones.
Key Accountabilities
- To guarantee that raw materials, semi-processed and finished products comply with the relative standards and designed quality by promptly applying the relative control plans and procedures, by ensuring an efficient management of any case of non-compliance and technological deviation and by taking action in order to prevent their re-occurrence. To guarantee the reliability of laboratory and processing measures through a correct application of testing and setting procedures to the specified tools
- To ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices are observed and that all corporate operational mechanisms specified for the management of food hygiene safety are efficiently implemented within the factories (HACCP, Pest Management, ..)
- To ensure that the internal/external auditing activities are correctly carried out by monitoring the specified corrective actions in order to highlight any variance, non-compliance and/or non-quality costs and to co-ordinate the Factory with the purpose of achieving / maintaining third-party certifications
- To guarantee technical support to Regulators for Quality- and Food Safety-related issues and to support the head office in managing food emergencies and crises promptly and efficiently
- To promote, in agreement with Knowledge Mgmt. Identity, Quality, Food Safety and Technology culture within the factory by guaranteeing adequate and up-to-date staff training
- Support plant with analytical and methodological means to manage production and packaging processes, promoting auditing activities to evaluate management correctness and effectiveness in coherence with GSTQ strategies; support production to solve any product qualitative parameters decrease both in a preventive way and immediately when they should appear
- To guarantee support to Industrialisation and Product Development activities related to the stages of industrialisation and industrial testing of new products and testing related to VFM projects and raw material alteration
- To implement and maintain process standards in co-operation with the industrialisation unit by guaranteeing that product standards are complied with through the execution of periodic production line capabilities and interventions for the restoration of optimal manufacturing conditions as agreed with industrialisation
- Define, in agreement with the Plant Director, budget and capex related to his/her responsibilities and activities, granting a correct resource management
- Manage his/her subordinate employees with a view to promoting their motivation and professional development, according to their individual characteristics and professional skills, so as to introduce organisational behaviours which effectively contribute to the achievement of corporate goals, including the continuous development of scientific and technical know-how
Qualifications
- University degree
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Specific knowledge and work experience of Food Quality/technology
