Barilla is now looking for a Key Account Manager - Norway to join the Norwegian Retail Team, based in Hamar.
Job Purpose
In this role, you will be part of the Key Account Management team, with the main responsibility of fully managing retail customers. You will also drive sustainable revenue growth and market share by building long-term, strategic partnerships with some of Barillas’ largest and most influential retail customers while seeking to grow in new channels. The role reports to Head of KAM.
Key accountabilities
- Manage and develop the Barilla and Wasa business through proactive category management, price and assortment negotiations together with effective promotional activities.
- Reach and report set targets concerning sales figures, profit, market shares and other customer related priorities.
- Implement category management thinking, shopper knowledge together with customers to develop the category and the Barilla business with the aim of building strong win-win partnerships.
- Build internal network within supply chain and finance as well as marketing and trade team to best develop the business for your customer.
- Develop the network within the Norwegian trade in order to further convince your customer contacts of Barilla as a preferred supplier and interesting partner to work with.
- Within the customer together with colleges also develop the E-commerce business, retail media as a vital driver in achieving company targets in the Norwegian market.
- Provide insights and knowledge around the Norwegian retail market that can further build the right strategies and plans for the future.
About you
As KAM you are an important pillar in the Barilla Norway sales team and are expected to further develop and spread the positive atmosphere in the company and in the sales team. We believe that you are a driven person, a team player with an open minded and “Can Do” attitude, as well as analytical and structured in your way of working. You have lots of energy and strong social skills. You value personal relationships, enjoy meeting with customers and building long-term professional networks. At the same time, you are not afraid of handling tough discussions and have the perspective of searching for and finding opportunities in all aspects of the business.
To succeed in this position, we believe that you have an academic degree, experience from sales in a similar role with well documented sales or business results and about four years of work experience from the Norwegian FMCG business. Furthermore, we believe that you are an experienced presenter and negotiator. You have excellent knowledge of all MS Office tools as well as the Norwegian and English language.
