Job description
We are looking for a Consolidated Financial Statement Specialist within the Consolidated Financial Statement unit. The role will report to the Consolidated Financial Statement Senior Manager and it will be based in Parma.
Job Purpose
Supports the preparation of the Consolidated Financial Statement, working in close collaboration with the Consolidated Financial Statement Senior Manager and the team, contributing to the application of international IAS/IFRS principles and guidelines. The position collaborates with Barilla Group local accounting departments, providing active support in the application of IAS/IFRS principles and during the Reporting Package preparation process within the IFRS Consolidation Suite, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial information, as well as supporting the management of information flows. The role performs a variety of tasks in the management of IFRS 16 - Leasing process with the supervision for whole Barilla's Group for Actual, Budget and Forecast streams.
Key Accountabilities
- Supports the Senior Manager in the reporting package preparation in the IFRS Consolidate Suite, ensuring that all information flows are coherent to guarantee the correct management of the Intercompany Reconciliation Process, as well as the Financial Consolidation Process.
- Contributes to the maintenance and improvement of the consolidation system, liaising with internal teams and supporting interactions with the software provider
- Supports the management of the IFRS 16 – Leasing process, including data collection, supporting documentation, system updates, and basic checks on outputs
- Assists in the management of IAS 19 – Pension Funds actuarial activities, coordinating data collection and supporting interactions with external providers and auditors
- Collaborates in the year-end financial closure process and supports interactions with external auditors within the area of responsibility
- Contributes to the application and monitoring of consolidation policies, procedures, and reporting principles in line with IFRS and Accounting Manual guidelines
- Supports the monitoring of audit and actuarial costs at Group level
- Assists in reconciliation activities between Business/Managerial and Statutory data, in collaboration with the Consolidated Managerial Department
- Contributes to control activities and reconciliation checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency of financial results
- Collaborates with local entities and corporate functions, supporting coordination across consolidation, tax, controlling, and intercompany processes
- Provides support to Corporate and local Finance & Accounting teams on IFRS-related topics, helping ensure alignment and consistency
- Contributes to the preparation of periodic reports and statistics related to Consolidated Financial Statements
Requirements
- University degree in Economics or similar
- At least 1 year of experience in IFRS accounting
- Good knowledge of English (the knowledge of another language would be preferred)
- Knowledge of Office applications (especially Excel, Power Point and Power BI would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of Tagetik and SAP would be a plus
- Analytical approach, data accuracy and good level of autonomy in the assigned tasks to achieve the goals
- Excellent communication skills at all levels to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Empathetic and active listening in conducting the relationships with all stakeholders and proactivity in problem solving
- Team player with the ability to build solid relationships
- Ability to learn fast in a dynamic environment combined with data accuracy
Compensation Package
- The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than € 34.000, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Industria Alimentare)
- The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications
- The position's compensation package also includes a variable component and a competitive welfare and benefits offer. Further details will be provided at a later stage and will be subject to the applicable Company policies
