Job description

 

We are looking for a IT Global Application Service Delivery Sr Manager, within the Core Platforms Running unit. The role reports to the Core Platforms Running Director and it is based in Parma.

 

Job Purpose

 

Ensures the continuity, quality, and efficiency of global enterprise application services by guaranteeing operational stability, appropriate performance levels, effective vendor management, and a structured governance of Application Maintenance processes. The role provides reliable, secure, well documented services fully aligned with business needs and ongoing project evolutions, managing a very complex application landscape.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

Service Governance & Coordination

  • Govern and coordinate Application Maintenance services delivered by multiple vendors, ensuring  operational quality.
  • Ensure compliance with SLA, service standards, and performance KPIs.
  • Manage operational and technical escalations in case of critical incidents or service degradation.
  • Coordinate transition in and transition out activities, ensuring a structured onboarding of new services or applications.

 

Service Performance & Quality Management

  • Monitor KPIs, operational volumes, and trends, proactively identifying risks or service inefficiencies.
  • Coordinate corrective and enhancement maintenance activities on complex applications.
  • Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to plan and manage application updates (releases, patching),
  • Infrastructure changes (hardware, operating systems), and architectural transformations, ensuring application stability and avoiding business impacts.
  • Ensure alignment between ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change) and daily service operations.

 

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage Application Maintenance vendors, ensuring performance, contractual compliance, and continuous service improvement, coordinating and interacting with multiple vendors.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams in defining, reviewing, or renewing service contracts.

 

Compliance, Audit & Security

  • Ensure availability and maintenance of documentation required for audits and certifications (e.g., ISO).
  • Support vulnerability management activities and related tasks requested by cybersecurity teams.
  • Incident, Problem & Change Management
  • Manage critical incidents and tickets, ensuring clear and timely stakeholder communication.
  • Oversee the proper execution of application changes

 

Project Support

  • Manage Application Technical Assessment to evaluate an application's design, codebase, integrations, performance, security posture, and overall maintainability.
  • Validate and execute regression tests, UAT technical coverage, data consistency, and execution with correct user profiles.
  • Define the rules and oversee the handover to the AMS service after every project.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar
  • 6-7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Project Management skills and ability to coordinate cross functional and international teams
  • Strong relational and leadership skills
  • High levels of energy, motivation and proactivity, with a problem-solving approach and willingness to achieve results
