Job description
Bakery Category Italy is looking for the next Innovation Soft Bakery Marketing Manager to join the team. The position is based in Parma and reports to the Innovation Bakery Italy Director.
Job purpose
The Innovation Soft Bakery Marketing Manager is responsible for driving innovation initiatives within the Soft Bakery portfolio, contributing to subcategory growth through insight-led concept development and disciplined execution from ideation to launch.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead Soft subcategory innovation projects end-to-end: translate strategy into clear innovation briefs, realistic project plans, and execution that delivers results.
- Convert consumer needs into actionable insight by analysing behaviour, occasions, and relevant trends to uncover unmet demand.
- Drive opportunity sizing and concept development, supporting thorough evaluation and strong proposition building.
- Develop high-impact innovation concepts and enable business case creation, partnering with Finance to support robust commercial evaluation and investment justification.
- Build strong cross-functional execution by collaborating closely with CMCs Development, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
- Own alignment, delivery, and risk management: manage dependencies, track milestones, and ensure issues are addressed early.
- Systematically capture learning from tests and launches, feed it back into the innovation pipeline, and contribute ideas to improve innovation processes and tools.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of proven experience in Consumer Marketing with a strong focus on innovation, ideally gained in FMCG.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.
- International growth mindset with proven strategic execution.
- Experience working cross-functionally and proven influencing skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to focus on the bigger picture.
- Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks, strengthening and developing the business.
