Integrated Accounting Analyst

We are looking for an Integrated Accounting Analyst to join our Integrated Accounting team. The role reports to the Integrated Accounting Manager and it is based in our headquarters in Parma.

 

Job Purpose

The Integrated Accounting Analyst will contribute to the timely and accurate production of the periodic trial balance for Cluster Legal Entities and the complete fulfilment of legal and fiscal requirements, in observance of established accounting principles and procedures, ensuring the alignment of cross-cluster responsibilities related to Integrated Accounting processes. The role will also contribute to the month-end closing process by performing activities and controls aimed at ensuring the respect of closing milestones and the quality of data for internal reporting.

He/She will ensure the application of the Tax Control Framework guidelines, procedures, and controls to relevant processes, even in case of changes, to guarantee and maintain effective and up-to-date tax principles. Additionally, he/she will support the Integrated Accounting Manager in standardization and improvement projects, collaborating with local stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of SLAs or tasks under the responsibility of the Integrated Accounting team.

 

Key Accountabilities

Support the Integrated Accounting team in the following activities: 

  • Analyze and release the monthly trial balance for all legal entities belonging to EASSC to ensure compliance with local and Barilla GAAP 
  • Perform general ledger accounting entries and reconciliations to ensure the month-end closing process, respecting closing milestones and ensuring data quality for internal reporting 
  • Execute assigned tasks related to specific Integrated Accounting processes, ensuring high service standards in line with our targets 
  • Ensure the complete fulfilment of legal requirements and adherence to established accounting principles and procedures 
  • Ensure compliance with cross-team accountabilities related to Integrated Accounting Processes 
  • Support the Integrated Accounting Manager in standardization and improvement projects aimed at automating and simplifying processes while maintaining quality output and adherence to our governance model 
  • Support local stakeholders (ie, MU, PU) to ensure the timely and correct application of accounting processes and procedures in their activities 
  • Provide adequate and timely support to local teams, helping them perform their part of the process, and responding to information requests from internal/external auditors and the Tax Department, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of reporting and answers 
  • Apply the Tax Control Framework guidelines, procedures, and controls to the processes in scope, ensuring their application even in case of process changes, to maintain live and effective tax principles

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar role 
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, or Administration 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Experience in dealing with internal/external stakeholders 
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment with high service level expectations 
  • Results-oriented and problem-solving attitude
