Job description 

The intern will work inside QFS Global Governance which main responsibility to lead Risk Assessment for Emerged, Emerging Food Safety risks and Frauds. He/she will interface with Global Supply Quality Management (GSQM)  and QFS Region. This internship is starting in Mid-May/June 2026.

Job Purpose 

Support rethinking and updating of Food Safety Master Criteria and execute analytical monitoring plans for emerging risks plans. He/she will support the project of rethinking guidelines for FS analytical control plans of raw materials (Food Safety Master Criteria) with the aim to: 

  • improve coherence of risk assessment between supplier’s analysis and internal analysis
  • simplify the process and guarantee its updating
  • be aligned with future sampling regulation  

Moreover he/she will guarantee the correct execution of monitoring plans through LIMS and relative data elaboration, being the interface with external labs. The individual will work, for the most part, within the internal network: Q&FS HQ/Regional teams.

Key accountabilities

1. Support project of rethinking Food Safety Master Criteria through: 

  • Mapping current supplier’s analysis/risk assessment
  • Simplification of current format, content and flow of information
  • Updating of new, obsolete raw materials and external inputs
  • Simulation of new criteria on a selected pool of categories
  • Identification of improvement/solutions for sampling 

2. Ensure the correct execution of emerging risks monitoring plans for: 

  • Ensure that material and supplier information relating samples are updated in LIMS – external lab flow
  • Be a proper interface with external labs for management of samples
  • Be a proper interface with QTM plants in monitoring plan execution check
  • Elaborate data and trends  

Requirements  

  • Degree in  Food Science Technology, Chemistry or similar
  • Competence in statistics and data elaborating
  • Good attitude in problem solving
  • Ability to nurture good relationship
  • Good communication skills, to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Self-capacity to take decisions/prioritize activities.
