Job purpose

The purpose of the internship is to update and harmonize the food safety plans for bakery raw materials within the Italian region.
This activity requires close collaboration with different company functions, in particular with the GSQM team, which owns the food safety plans for raw materials supplied by vendors.


Main Activities

  • Critical analysis and comparison of the Food Safety Master Criteria defined by Governance with raw material food safety plans of individual suppliers
  • Comparison, for each raw material, of control plans and analytical frequencies applied by different suppliers.
  • Redefine the analytical frequencies set out in our current internal analytical plan (food safety) in relation to the analytical frequencies agreed with suppliers.
  • Proposal of new sampling frequencies to be applied in Italian Bakery plants.
  • Support in the development of the final reference matrix to be implemented across production plants.
  • Use of IT tools, in particular Excel, to build a comparison matrix (XLS).


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or related fields
  • Knowledge of Food Quality and Food Safety standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in English and in Italian
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn through hands-on R&DQ activities
  • Analytic mindset, with the ability to observe, structure and interpret experimental results and to connect across different topics
  • Precision and strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative and team-oriented attitude
