We are looking for an Inventory Revaluation/Devaluation Senior Analyst within the Inventory Evaluation and Inspection unit. The role will report to the Inventory Evaluation and Inspection Manager and it will be based in Parma.
Job Purpose
Ensure the application and governance of inventory valuation principles, rules and procedures across managerial and statutory reporting views. Coordinate the centralized inventory valuation process, supporting business requirements, variance analysis and planning cycles and monthly actual closings. Manage FIFO/LIFO processes for raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished and finished goods for SAP-managed companies, ensuring accurate inventory revaluation entries and proper alignment between balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
Ensure consistency, integrity and reconciliation between physical and accounting stock, contributing to a reliable inventory representation in the Barilla Group Financial Statements. Participate in periodic physical inventory controls covering raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods and spare parts across internal plants, warehouses, mills and external third-party locations, including logistics operators, co-packers and cardboard converters.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure accurate FIFO inventory postings for all managed companies, covering both managerial and statutory reporting, in line with the month-end closing calendar and across raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished and finished goods, by-products and pallets
- Support year-end LIFO inventory valuation for Barilla G. e R. Fratelli S.p.A.
- Oversee the accounting management of subcontracting materials, mill production and semi-finished goods, with specific focus on sauces
- Ensure proper accounting treatment for maintenance activities impacting cost centers and investments
- Reconcile SAP R/3 data with inventory reports for raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished and finished goods, and other materials within the COGS area
- Manage labour cost allocation for production cost centers, including hours transferred to other company areas such as training, R&D and marketing activities
- Perform annual physical inventory controls at plants, warehouses, mills and external third-party locations, ensuring accurate booking of inventory results in Barilla systems
- Manage inventory allowances through monthly review and monitoring of blocked materials
- Provide inventory and production cost information to external auditors after year-end closing, including variance calculations and stock valuation analyses
- Support the preparation and submission of monthly and annual statistical information requested by ISTAT and Unionfood, including production data by category
Requirements
- University degree in Economics or similar
- At least 2 years of experience in Administration or Finance roles
- Fluency English
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills are a plus
- Team player with the ability to build solid relationships
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to data accuracy
- Ability to manage complex processes and ensure data consistency
- Problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve data issues

Compensation package
- The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered will be no less than € 38.000, in accordance with the provisions of the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Industria Alimentare).
- The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
