Job description
Job Purpose
The Junior Facility Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining our HQ based in Parma, ensuring a safe, efficient, and sustainable work environment. This role will play a key part in supporting daily operations and collaborating with various teams to optimize space usage while promoting employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Support to Facility Management: Monitor and manage the daily operations of the building, including cleaning and maintenance.
- Workplace Well-being: Promote employee well-being by designing ergonomic and inspiring workspaces, enhancing natural light, and ensuring air quality. This includes Space Management: plan and optimize the use of internal spaces, supporting the needs of various business functions.
- Maintenance: Support the facility management in coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring that all equipment and systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) are operational and compliant with regulations.
- Environmental Sustainability: Implement sustainable management practices, such as recycling, energy efficiency, and waste reduction, to contribute to an eco-friendly work environment.
- Budgeting: Assist in preparing and managing the budget for facility management operations, monitoring costs, and identifying savings opportunities.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, coordinating inspections and training activities for staff.
- User Support: Act as the point of contact for user requests regarding services and facilities, resolving issues and optimizing occupant satisfaction.
- Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on facility management activities, highlighting performance, costs, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
- Previous experience in facility management or similar roles (including internships).
- Familiarity with sustainable environmental practices applicable to facility management.
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or other design tools.
- Problem-solving skills and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- English and Italian full proficiency
