Job description 

Barilla is looking for a Key Account Manager to join Italy Customer Management unit.
 
Job Purpose


The successful candidate will be responsible to achieve the assigned category targets in terms of volume, turnover and profitability. He/She will develop category strategy and defined budget in accordance with Barilla, being also in charge of the negotiation and agreement of category plans with the customer.
 
Key Accountabilities

In relation to the assigned categories:
•    Manage the achievement of Customer budget in terms of Volumes & Net Sales.
•    Assure the achievement of Customer Budget in terms of Profitability (Customer Margin) working on all the P&L lines and mainly through the managed Resources (TPR/ OTF).
•    Contribute to the achievement of Market Shares’ targets at Customer and Country level.
•    Manage Promotional Planning, negotiating directly with the Customer and according to its
Promotional Calendar in order to assure the proper weighted/numerical distribution and promotional effectiveness.
•    Drive value through the timely listing and go to market of Innovation.
•    Contribute to the perfect In-store execution (assortment, promotional activities, in-store Events) and the achievement of SIE targets, working daily and closely with Field Sales Team and leveraging on Store Back process.
•    Define, share and agree Categories’ Plans in the Customer, also on a multi-year basis, identifying performance gaps and opportunities leveraging on Customer/ Categories data according to Trade and Marketing guidelines and National/Local Customer Deal.
•    Promote Shopper Projects, such as category management, space allocation, cross-category, retail media, e-commerce with the Customer, involving Shopper Marketing unit.
•    Identify opportunities and facilitate agile cross-functional work on the category, unlocking barriers to efficiency.
•    Support the Customer Team Director in preparing the Yearly National Agreement & T2T meetings.
 
Requirements


•    Degree qualified with 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within FMCG.
•    Strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
•    Ability to engage and influence others, with strong motivation and a high level of energy.
•    Ability to plan, prioritize and work autonomously towards deadline.
•    Project management skills, excellent ability to manage multiple tasks with a “can do” attitude and strive for excellence.
•    Entrepreneurial mindset and strategic thinking.
•    Passion and curiosity for trends & market evolution.
•    Fluency in Italian and English.


 
Additional Information
 
•    The Key Account Manager reports to the Customer Team Director.
•    Location: Parma. We offer hybrid working as a mix of working remotely and from the office.
•    Type of contract: local contract, full-time.
•    The expected starting date is July 2025, with a full-time permanent contract
