Job Description


Barilla Group is seeking talented students or recent graduates with backgrounds in Economics or Marketing to join our Sales & Marketing Team – Region Italy, for a 6-month internship starting in January 2026, based at our Global Headquarters in Parma, Italy.
All internships are full-time (40 hours per week).

 

Job Purpose


This internship is designed to give you real-world exposure and on-the-job training through day-to-day responsibilities and meaningful project work within the team you will join.
You will gain insight into Sales and Marketing processes while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As an active member of the Sales or Marketing teams, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your talent in a multicultural and professional setting within a global market leader, acquiring valuable skills and competencies to build your future expertise.
Opportunities are available across different areas of Sales and Marketing, including:

•    Consumer Marketing: You will experience the development and launch of new marketing programs designed to drive growth and manage the performance of our brands. Besides being exposed to the day-to-day real business experience, you will (a) get a 360° view of market trends and analytics; (b) take part in Brand Activation activities; (c) contribute to the development of brand communication materials (packaging, in store, website). (d) perform data analysis, reporting and insights for the brands.
•    Customer Management: You will support the creation of strategies and plans to develop our categories, identifying commercial opportunities that help achieve our sales targets and create value for the business and our customers. While learning about strategic customer management, you will (a) support the analysis of products performance within a designated customer (retailer); (b) work on category management related projects; (c) implement tailored in-store shopper activities and analyze relevant performances; (d) monitor and analyse the efficiency of all in-store promotions.
•    Trade Marketing: You will support the creation of plans and initiatives that convert consumers into shoppers of our brands and categories. Besides the day-to-day business experience, you will acquire specific knowledge of trade marketing and become responsible for: (a) sell out performance analysis with Nielsen KPIs; (b) management and coordination of in-store activities; (c) development of promotional material dedicated to national and customers-tailored shopper marketing activities; (d) monitoring performance KPIs for specific ad-hoc projects.

 

Requirements


•    You are about to graduate, in the fields of Economics, Marketing, Business Management or similar.
•    Have an outstanding university career with excellent results and study/work experience abroad.
•    Be able to write and speak fluent English.
•    Be good at and enjoy analytics and high-volume of data.
•    Bring an out-of-the box mindset, coupled with agility and entrepreneurship.
•    Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Be geographically mobile, have a flexible mindset and a can-do attitude.
