Barilla Singapore is recruiting the future Partnership Manager APAC. This position will report to the President of Region APAC and will be part of the regional leadership team. The position is based in Singapore.
Job Purpose
This role will support the regional job to be done of accelerating Barilla brand penetration with a specific focus to step change Barilla’s scale, presence and consideration in new/ emerging consumers & shoppers touch points though working with strategic partners.
Key areas of contributions will include:
Partnership development
- You will be responsible for external partnership identification and development, in areas where Barilla’s internal capability requires building.
- You will also be the anchor point to influence internal partnership development and lead key stakeholders’ management for each project workstream.
Innovations co-development
- You will define new innovations and roadmap development for the region, working together with strategic partners. You will frame also the innovation scope including leading the relevant project approvals, processes and business case.
- You will also define the strategy and approach to new formats development as part of the Convenience acceleration strategy with focus in Asia.
- You will be responsible for the tracking of the innovation performance, understanding opportunities and gaps and definition of next steps.
Business model development
- As part of the business development strategy, you will be responsible to define the required/new route to market and requirements.
- You will also be responsible to identify and define the right business model that will deliver scale and financial sustainability for the projects.
Culinary and marketing strategy definition
- You will work with the Regional Executive Chef and R&D to define the culinary strategy and continue to build and optimize where needed across projects, fit for purpose and relevant to each market.
- You will also work with the relevant functions and cross regional-local teams to define the marketing & sales strategy, plans and executions for each project
Learnings gathering and cascading
- You will be responsible to define best approach to test, learn and share learnings and for learnings to be reapplied at local/regional/global level so that a replicable partnership model be built and scaled.
Accountabilities
- Scout, identify, and explore opportunities for external and internal partnerships. Once identified matching partners, design a collaborative framework to build a long-lasting relationship in order to assess and capitalize on new opportunities, collaboratively, sharing capabilities, know-how and resources.
- Manage the development and execution of partnership projects end to end as well as strategic innovation roadmap in conjunction with the regional job to be done and innovation needs.
- Lead Barilla Inside holistic project for the region, and the consolidation of its individual projects. This includes the building of the business case & opportunities, project management and consultation for the region and local markets, P&G crossings, launch definition /measures/KPIs and tracking of projects, ensure timely and smooth implementation of plans and reporting of learnings. Role will ensure close follow-up of performance by providing regular and detailed analysis related to performance and consumer/shopper insights and communicate information in order to support recommendations, improvement plans and corrective actions.Role will also be expected to perform high level presentations to key stakeholders e.g. Regional lead team members and Global innovaotion steering committee members.
- Lead the definition of the business model for Barilla including the legal and marketing treatment of Barilla logo; working in partnership with relevant functions e.g. Legal.
- As part of the innovation projects, work with regional executive chef and R&D to ensure right culinary strategy and executions of the product and value proposition of Italian gastronomy is right.
Qualifications
- Master degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 6/8 years in commercial roles with deep verticals in sales, marketing, business development and management strategies and planning
- A minimum of 6/8 years’ experience in the FMCG industry
- Experience in stakeholders’ management, upper management or executive-level management. Ability to cultivate relationships at all levels, inside and outside the company
- Solid leadership skills and people management experience
- Action-driven and hands-on mentality. “Can do” attitude. Take initiatives and ownership
- Result driven. Being able to successfully implement projects with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Total commitment to very high standards of integrity and business ethics
- Business acumen and holistic understanding of the economic, social and cultural environment
- Ability to coach, guide, develop capabilities and mentor others
- Experience in partnership development and management is highly appreciated
- Fluent in English
