Introduction - Organizational Details
Barilla Singapore seeks to recruit the next marketing leader responsible for Southeast Asia Cluster. The individual will directly report to the Pasta & Condiments Director APAC. The position is based in Singapore.
Job Purpose
Lead and implement the 3Y and annual plans (incl. innovation) for both Pasta and Condiments, and ensure congruent executions in the market via collaboration with internal functions (sales, etc.) and distributors and agencies.
Manage operational implementation and tracking of annual plan for the pasta and condiment categories, in order to achieve brand penetration & share growth and profitability within the defined framework set by the guidelines provided.
Be the reference point for the cluster pertaining to external context (e.g. key market trends, consumers’ preference, competitive landscape, etc.) and internal context (Categories’ direction, with Group’s guidelines, policies and procedures, etc.).
This role also requires close collaboration with Barilla’s cross functional colleagues and external partnership management in the development of winning innovations.
Key Accountabilities
- Continuously advocate the Barilla values in the market and with the Business Partner. Champion the bridge of Barilla’s values with core values of the Business Partner and local consumers.
- Lead and collaborate with the distributors in the definition of the marketing strategy and plans which include budget management, pricing, promotion, portfolio and communication strategy. Support the Business Partner in the integration and adaptation of categories marketing plan into a meaningful local plan. Maintain continuous partnership with the Business Partner to optimise plans where necessary.
- Lead new innovation development in collaboration with the region, RDQ and external partners; and roll outs of current innovations. Guarantee full operational support to specific launches & campaign development, in order to maximize the market performance in terms of effectiveness, timeliness, efficiency, and quality, by working closely with internal and external partners to implement the plan (e.g. sales, logistics, service providers, agencies, suppliers, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Business Partner and agency in the definition of the in-store and digital strategy. Digital strategy includes the editorial plan and content creation with agency and chef(s).
- Support Business Partner in the integration of regional digital plan into local plans and optimise plans where necessary.
- Work with Business Partner and Market Research to execute customized market researches in order to assess and understand the key market trends and quality Innovations affecting assigned sub-brands in the short/long-term, and prepare analysis and report to collect the results of the market studies and share them with Superiors, in order to support brand and category strategic planning processes, in compliance with Group’s guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Manage the operational aspects of packaging adjustment projects, executing label editing and copy editing activities and managing the relationships with the external suppliers (e.g. packaging/design agencies), cooperating with the Supply Chain department, in compliance with Group’s guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Lead, in collaboration with General Manager and Finance, the category P&L, ensure monthly market spends at a country level against plan.
- Contribute and challenge the continuous improvement of current processes in terms of costs efficiency and quality of the initiatives executed, collecting in a systematic way information, measuring KPI, performance data and ROI, by monitoring the entire campaign from the planning to the completion and making comparisons and measuring results against quantitative and qualitative objectives planned.
- Manage and maintain relationships by providing constant feedback and updates to all the stakeholders involved.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or related field
- Min 5 years of experience in Marketing roles
- Intellectual curiosity, open minded, passionate and flexible
- Solid communication and presentation skills
- Resilient and positive attitude
- “Can do” attitude, ability to combine hands on approach with strategic thinking and excellence in execution
