Barilla Sweden is now searching for our next Area Demand Planner Sweden, Denmark, Finland & Baltics Sr Analyst based in our office in Stockholm. You will report hierarchically to the Demand Planning & Costumer Service Sweden, Denmark, Finland & Baltics Sr Manager, also based in Stockholm. 

 

Job Purpose 

As the Area Demand Planner Sweden, Denmark, Finland & Baltics Sr Analyst, your responsibility will be to regularly produce short, medium and long-term forecasts, in relation to volumes expected for shipment and turnover volumes, pointing out any gaps versus targets. You will contribute to the overall business turnover through a shipping forecast that secures products availability, optimal level of service, and minimum costs. 

 

Key Accountabilities 

Your area of responsibility involves, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: 

 

  • Ensure medium- and short-term market Sales forecast, taking into accounts inputs from Key Account Management, Marketing, Trade Marketing and Category Management and being the point of reference and communication for all the company   

  • Ensure calculation of Demand Forecast figures (according to company specifications), taking into consideration the inputs from Trade Marketing, Marketing and KAM and ensure that sales forecasts are correctly communicated to Central Demand Planning Unit. 

  • Regularly analyze deviations and suggest necessary corrective actions, regarding sales trends, weekly shelf status, and new launches or advertising campaigns etc. and collaborate to the management of the product with expired TUS (to avoid Inv Adj or OOS). 

  • Drive and ensure proper contact and information flow between commercial functions (Trade Marketing, Key Account Managers) and Supply Chain (Logistics and Production Planning as well as Demand Planning) especially advising of critical categories, helping the teams to understand availability and timing of supply and to ensure proactive management and planning in order to maximize business continuity, OFR and minimize situations that may cause future delays or problems.  

  • Ensure continuous Forecast accuracy KPI’s monitoring to improve Sales Forecast results. 

  • Regular updates in the Sales Governance System, Demand Planning system and any other Custom Tools required for planning and collaborating to any project developing/improving them.  

  • Contribute to the preparation of analysis, reporting, and presentations concerning the Forecast Accuracy for the C&NE Region and HQ functions. 

  • Collaboration in the KPIs target setting (Forecast accuracy) liaising with HQ Supply Chain and the C&NE Region and helping them understand local Customer needs. 

 

Your profile 

We believe that you have an academic degree in logistics, engineering, or business, with a focus on analysis as well as practical experience from a similar role. We therefore value previous experience within sales activities, production planning, or demand planning. Furthermore, we believe that you are confident, verbal, and have a sense of urgency to take responsibility in your role. You are proactive, have the ability and drive to coordinate multifunctional teams, enjoy working with numbers and are result oriented with a structured “Can Do” mindset. We trust that you have a solid knowledge of MS Office tools and preferably also SAP BI tools. Aside from this, your verbal and written skills in English are advanced, and preferably also Swedish, and you enjoy working with international contacts with many stakeholders, and you demonstrate an openness and willingness to grow in your professional role.
