We are now looking for a commercially minded and inspiring Finance Manager to join our team in Stockholm, Sweden.

 

As Finance Manager for Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Baltics, you will be a key member of the Barilla Sweden Leadership Team and a trusted business partner to the Managing Director. In this role, you will not only lead the Finance function but also contribute to the overall leadership, strategic direction, organizational development, and business performance of the company.

 

You will be responsible for driving financial performance across six markets, providing strategic decision support, and ensuring robust planning, reporting, governance and compliance processes. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on business partnering and team management, offering a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the business.

In addition, you will serve as a Board Member of Barilla Sverige AB, contributing to sound corporate governance and supporting the company's financial and legal responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as a key member of the Barilla Sweden Leadership Team, helping shape the strategic direction, culture, and performance of the business.
  • Act as a trusted sparring partner to the Managing Director and Leadership Team, providing insights and recommendations that drive growth and profitability.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of short- and mid-term business plans across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Baltics.
  • Influence decisions across all functions and help build a high-performing organization. Financial Planning, Forecasting & Reporting
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and planning processes across six markets.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to local management, regional stakeholders and Headquarters.
  • Monitor business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure transparency and alignment between financial targets and business priorities.


Business Controlling & Commercial Finance

  • Own and manage the full P&L performance across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and the Baltics.
  • Drive financial analysis of volumes, net sales, profitability and business performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and HR to provide financial insights and decision support.
  • Develop business cases, evaluate investments, promotional activities and customer profitability opportunities.
  • Support pricing decisions and revenue growth initiatives through robust commercial analysis.

Cost Management & Performance Improvement

  • Drive financial governance across pricing, promotional spending, marketing investments and overhead costs.
  • Monitor cost development and implement corrective actions to ensure delivery of business targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and business performance.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Finance Specialists.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Build a high-performing finance organization that delivers excellent support to the business.

Governance, Compliance & Legal Entity Responsibility

  • Serve as a Board Member of Barilla Sverige AB.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance and financial governance processes.
  • Oversee financial administration, audit activities, master data governance and key finance processes.
  • Act as a key contact for auditors, tax authorities, banking partners and other external stakeholders.
  • Support credit management activities and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

 

Your Profile

  • University degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant finance experience, preferably within Business Controlling, FP&A or Commercial Finance.
  • Proven leadership experience with a strong track record of developing and motivating teams.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial insights into business actions.
  • Experience working in a dynamic international environment.
  • FMCG experience is considered a strong advantage.
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid experience with financial systems and reporting tools; SAP and Power BI experience are highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish.
