Barilla are seeking a Pasta & Condiments Sweden, Denmark, Finland & Baltics Manager to join our  C&NE Category Marketing team. as a parental leave cover. The role is available either as a consultancy assignment or a fixed-term employment contract. You will report to the Pasta C&NE Marketing Director and be based in Stockholm. 

 

Job Purpose

In this role you are accountable in defining the most effective marketing plans for the Pasta & Condiments Category, in order to achieve P&L and market share targets, in close collaboration with both the Local Team and the Global Category. You are also responsible for consistently monitoring the performance of the managed products and the market in terms of  consumer trend, as well as the management of the flow of information towards other services (Trade Marketing, Finance etc).

 

You are responsible for the management of innovation projects in the market and in the segments of reference, by assisting in the definition of brand positioning, communication strategies and commercial levers with the purpose of creating and strengthening the brands’ value and image within the established strategic guidelines and delivering business targets for the Categories of responsibility.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • To define the marketing plan (communication & promotional programs) in accordance with the Brand’s positioning and communication strategies by integrating core information on the product / geographical area of competence in terms of targets and resource allocation on innovation, media, consumer promotion & below-the-line, in close collaboration with local Trade Marketing and Global Category.
  • To ensure constant monitoring of consumer and market trends by gathering data, acquiring research, keeping in constant contact with sales structures and through an analysis of brand awareness and customer needs/reactions, in view of formulating suitable marketing plans aimed at guaranteeing the achievements of the Category targets.
  • To contribute in preparing sales forecasts as part of the budget and forecast activities for the  products/ geographical areas of competence by leveraging data on market development, marketing activities, market trend and planned commercial actions.
  • To build the business case for  assigned innovation projects, working in close collaboration with the local cross functional Team (Trade Marketing, Sales, Finance) and in coordination with the Category, allocating resources to ensure successful launch and brand growth.
  • To define, in co-operation with Trade Marketing, periodic canvasses for the products of competence to be implemented in order to guarantee the best programming of promotional activities at the points of sale and to best allocate those resources aimed at increasing consumer awareness of brand /products, market penetration and brand margin. 
  • To ensure the implementation of plans for the launch of new products in co-operation with Trade Marketing and post-launch analyses with the purpose of identifying critical elements and success factors in order to consolidate and develop the presence of the brands of competence.
  • To manage the localization of communication assets  and the development of promotional campaigns for the brand / sub-brand of reference by managing relations with external agencies, by taking care of the different steps from brief to final copy approval.
  • Integrate global and local marketing communication strategies (including digital, PR, packaging, etc…) and strive for best execution meeting local market needs.
  • To manage (1) assigned resource by promoting their motivation and development, taking into account their personal characteristics and professional competences, with the purpose of promoting organisational behaviours which can effectively contribute to the target achievement.
  • To ensure the proper follow up of marketing expenses by taking steps aimed at solving any critical situation.

 

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience, with experience from the FMCG industry
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, International business
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to focus on the bigger picture
  • Entrepreneurial 360° mind-set and the capability to manage project successfully with curiosity to learn and understand commercial aspects of the business beyond marketing
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in digital and social media platforms and technology

  • Keen observer and insight gatherer with a passion for Food
  • Very good MS Office skills and experience in Nielsen and usage of Shopper Insights
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent English and Swedish

Additional Information:

  • This position reports to the Pasta C&NE Marketing Director
  • The expected start date is beginning of April, 2026.
