Barilla is now looking for a full time Purchasing Manager Packaging & Energy - Central & Northern Europe, based in one of our locations in Sweden Stockholm or Germany Colone. The individual will report to the Purchasing Director Packaging & Promotional Materials.
As our Purchasing Manager, you will contribute to the development and lead the implementation of purchasing strategies for Packaging Materials & Energy in Germany and Sweden and build a strong business-to-business relationship with suppliers within the Region and assure that the category is purchased in the most value-added manner.
Key Accountabilities
· Conduct and update Market Analysis and local spend analysis by category/country/plant /supplier
· Implement the Category Sourcing Strategy locally in line with the guidelines shared with the Lead Buyer
· Apply and update of a local Risk Assessment and define Mitigation plans by category
· Execute local suppliers scouting activities and apply the correct process of supplier selection, request for quotations, evaluate the offers collected after RFQ
· Update main local category market drivers price trends by market intelligence providers (i.e.: PPI, ICIS) and evaluate eventual price variations
· Define, share, negotiate, evaluate and renew contracts
· Perform supplier evaluation (quality, service level, financial soundness, CSR, etc.) with the support of Supplier Quality Assurance and the Plants
· Manage the local category Suppliers Portfolio consistently between Supplier Segmentation, Sourcing Strategy and Risk Analysis
· Execute, track and monitor Cost Saving Projects (DTV, PCM, WC) and Sustainability and D&I projects
· Build the budget in line with the budget assumption, guarantee the correct execution of budget process, execute the rolling forecasts process (in terms of variance vs bdg)
· Establish and develop relationships with local Associations, Institutions and local players (i.e.: recovered paper buyers, traders, consultants, paper mills, converters, etc.)
· Support local projects (i.e.: P&G, FCR meetings)
Qualifications:
· Degree in Engineering, Economics and other similar studies
· Fluent in English (Swedish / German knowledge will be considered as a plus)
· At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in Packaging (Technical areas or Purchasing)
· Project Management skills and the ability to work in parallel on different projects
· Strong people management skills, by driving shared goals, building trust and using an open communication
· Demonstration of leadership and ownership, showing curiosity and creativity, while building strong and trustful relationships
· Analytical and result driven with a strong “can do” attitude that allows sound decisions making within established guidelines
· International growth mindset, ideally proven with international experiences
· Willing to travel (up to 25%)
